Module 1 – Dyslexia: Understanding and supporting reading

Why do some pupils have difficulty learning to read words? This module looks at the processes involved in reading that all pupils must develop and how you can provide appropriate support to those pupils who have continuing difficulties.

Module 2 – Dyslexia: Understanding and supporting spelling

Learning to spell is hard, but some pupils find it unusually difficult. This module looks at how pupils learn to spell and how you can provide appropriate support to those pupils who have continuing difficulties in producing accurate spelling.

Module 3 – Dyslexia: A focus

What is dyslexia? This module considers how you might recognise and begin to make adjustments for pupils with dyslexic difficulties.

Module 4 – Dyslexia: Adapting practice

What do pupils with dyslexic difficulties need to facilitate their learning? In this module, you will see the different aspects you should consider when adapting practice for pupils with dyslexia.
